Gary Schoeniger Guest Zoom Appearance

I would like to invite Network Kansas Ice House alumni to this special Zoom call.

I’ve lined up Gary Schoeniger to be our entrepreneur guest via Zoom next Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30. If you haven't seen this short Kauffman Sketchbook video where Gary explains why a different approach to entrepreneurship education is needed, here is a link.  https://youtu.be/8NBnoVrLFPU

How did he get to the point of creating a radically different method of self-learning for entrepreneurial thinking? What events in his life led up to the founding of the Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative and the Ice House Entrepreneurship program?

Part of his story comes out in “Who Owns the Ice House?” but not all. That’s what I’m going to ask him next Wednesday. He told his story in 2013 when he made his first visit to Independence Kansas and I would like to draw that out of him again.

I plan to do the first part of Gary’s visit as if it were a pod cast interview between Gary and me (with an eye toward editing it into a Correll Files pod cast episode) That should take 20 – 25 minutes. I will put attendees on mute for the interview portion. Following that, we’ll open it up for questions and discussions, perhaps by the chat feature.

If you’ve not used Zoom, feel free to contact me individually. It is working out nicely to conduction the current Mindset class with everyone at home.

I will send out the actual Zoom invite early next week*. Please do not share it. To prevent the chances of unwanted visitors “hacking” into the meeting (called Zoom Bombing), I’ll be using the concept Zoom calls Waiting Room. I wlll need to know and recognize anyone in the waiting room before I admit them to the meeting.
