Extension Horticulture Agent Jesse Gilmore will present “Composting to Reduce Food Waste” Wednesday, October 6, at 5 p.m. at Fab Lab ICC, 2564 Brookside Dr., Independence, on the campus of Independence Community College.
Grilling Safety
Holly Miner, Nutrition and Food Safety and Health Agent with K-State Research and Extension’s Wildcat District demonstrates grilling and food safety. Topics include hand washing before preparing foods, preparing your grill, cooking raw meat, using meat thermometers and safe temperatures to keep your favorite picnic foods.
